I finally have figured out who gave me the MTS, my husband who loves to look at the fish, but don't want to have a part in the care (unless its heavy lifting especially right now).
I have sold all the fish in my 36g tank, so the process of turing it salty will begain this weekend .
Well He said I should move it to where the nano is, and replace the 36g's spot with another malawI tank putting a couple breeding groups in it. Um, I had to agree, in fact over joyied that I have an enabling husband. So that is now our plan.
I have done so well selling fry the past 2 weeks that I have even found a local need for healthy lake malawI cichilds that don't come from the "mixed tank" at the lfs. They are wanting the hard to find malawis. How can blame them, I am estatic that I am going to get to stock another malawI tank!
I have been looking at different afra species, and will prob go with a pseudo species, or lab species (non red top hongi, or yellow labs).
I am also going to go w/ a more fine sand substrate, and large round river rocks for this one (I saw a tank set up like that and fell in love with it).
I am also trying to figure out what to do with 68 kenyI fry. My female spat again, the count was 35. (I will post pics of this bunch, they are too cute!).
The salty tank.. he he he... I can't wait to get started!!!!
