My Husband Has Joined The Hobby!

So after watching my 36 gallon tank grow and change over the past year he has finally decided he wants to get into the fishkeeping hobby himself. I had an established 10 gallon and put some javafern, anubias, moss balls, java moss and took some frogbit from my main tank and added that into the tank. I also added some katappa leaves. He doesn’t want to do a fully planted tank so I kept it simple for him. I am trying to give his betta a happy comfortable home.

This is his little betta. He doesn’t have a name yet but I wanted to share this with everyone because I am so excited for him!

A husband in the hobby might mean an excuse for more tanks....

It's always nice when the SO shows interest. My girlfriend wants to completely decorate a small tank herself with a blue crayfish inhabitant when we get the chance. She also wants me to set up a Saltwater tank some day, which I've been researching.

It's only a matter of time that he'll come home with a 300g tank.

I know this is a slightly old thread but I see you didn’t get any responses to the question about the Fluval flex, for me the 9 gallon was one of my first aquariums beside my 55 gallon, but I love this tank I use it to breed cherry shrimp and snails for my pea puffer which I am going to get soon, it has a great light with awesome features, it also has really great filtration and has a area for a heater, I’ve never really like all in on tanks but this one is great for low to medium light tanks, in the 15 gallon you could do a nice little nano community with a centerpiece fish like a Betta or a pair of honey gouramis, all and all it’s a gorgeous tank and I defiantly plan on getting another for my cabinet that house the one I will but some photos one mine down below I just have low maintenance plants.

nice tank and thanks for the share! I think that's the tank we will get when we do buy another one. It fill fit perfectly in our bedroom. We are in a condo so we can't go nuts with tank like some people...its probabaly a good thing. Keeps my addiction in check! We first found that tank when we saw a review from Pecktec and it looked like a really cool lookin tank.
