My Guppies Scales Look Like They’re Peeling.

I have 8 guppies in total (6 females, 2 males, hoping to possibly get a couple more males soon) One of my guppies is a lot smaller than the rest, she’s like the runt of the group. She swims weirdly, she wiggles like a worm in one place and on her back it looks like her scales are peeling off. I’ve never had a guppy have this problem before, does anyone know what’s wrong with her?

Are the scales raised from her body?

Not all of them, just the ones on her back, the easiest way to explain it is it’s like a snake shedding it’s skin but only on the top of it.

Treatment is praziquantel or "prazipro" one week apart for a total of 3 or 4 weeks, with a 50% waterchange in between each treatment.
Add some garlic to your food and be ready to cull losses...

Should I separate her from the rest and put her in a recovery tank? Because I have a pregnant fish in with her and don’t want to put her at risk of anything.

I would euthanize that guppy, its too far gone

But what if it’s not what we think it is and then I euthanize her for nothing?
