What fish are in the tank with the guppy, how many of what kinds of fish (guppy included) are in the tank, what size of tank is it, and what are your water readings as well as waterchange schedule? What amount of what type of food are you feeding, also?

OK yes the tail was falling off a bit.

There is anther guppy in the tank and a silver fish. 5 gallon, the water readings are fine now, about 2 weeks for like half a gallon, a pinch.

Ok also All those fish died but I got new ones last week and they are doing good, we also modifyed the water a bit so it's good.I LOVE SMILIES:;b

Their Tetra and I would appreciate if you give me some info on them.

What kind of tetras, how many? 99.9% of tetras are schooling fish that need to be in groups of 5-6 or more and would not do well in those numbers in a 5 gallon tank because they need the room to swim around, plus the bioload (fecal matter and urea produced). When you say 'modified the water' what do you mean? Are you doing regular waterchanges on the tank and is there a filter in it?

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They died
Um I don't know what kind but the person at the pet store said they shoud be in groups of 3 or more and that how many I got. Well we added aquarI'm salt and change some water and added conditioner. Yes we are and there is a flter.

We took a water sample in to a pet store and we most of it was sping water.

We are not going to get more fish yet. We're going to take everything out rinse it and get new water.

By the way do you know what happend to the other fish.

that stinks!

it's really hard to say what caused them to all die, but it does sound like the tank's got some sort of pathogen possibly and cleaning it all well with hot water, then cycling it before adding new fish would be a good course to take. when you're ready to stock the tank, remember the 1 gallon per adult inch guideline to give them a workable bioload & a better chance of living long & healthy.
