Hi, I need help. My Ryukin Goldfish, Athena, has grown a white bump towards the midsection of her body, and Ive tried multiple things to get rid of it. The best way I can describe the bump is that it looks like a tiny spitball that you would just about be able to fit into one of those stirring straws/sticks. It is a 29 gallon tank, and it has been set up for about 8 months. During the first 2ish months I was super diligent about getting the tank through the Nitrogen Cycle. I tried my best to do the weekly 25% water change, but I will admit there are some weekends that I forget or outright am just to lazy to do one. When I first saw the bump, I flew right onto my phone to look for treatments/more information on the disease. Many articles and pictures said it was a fungus. So I drove out to my local fish store and talked to one of their employees and he suggests "Triple Sulfa". When I came back from the fish store, I actually noticed that the bump deflated to about 1/4 of its size, but just to make sure I still went through with the full treatment. A week after, the bump is back again! I will be super grateful for ANY advice for me and Athena, and I just really need some help. See the pictures below!!
