my freshwater 55 gal. tank

    got a frshwater 55 gallon tank. so far i have

    4 neon tetras
    6 tiger barbs
    2 orange and yello mollys
    2 red and black mollys
    1 clown loache

    if you have any suggestions to any other good fish to add please post something

    clown loaches are recommended in schools. I think they get big, like a foot, but I don't know how much space they need for a school of them.

    I think in a tank that size, you could get more neon tetras too. I'd add about 6-8 more.

    Yes Clown Loaches do get rater large, 10-12inces & they like to be kept in groups of 3 or more. I wouldn't want to keep Clown Loaches in a tank that size myself but if I did I would have a maximum of 3 & they would have the tank to themselves. If you were to take out the Clown Loach, then I would look at some more neons to make the ones you have feel more comfortable. I would probably also add another 4 Tiger Barbs because they are quite a vicious sort of fish. They need a school large enough to keep them busy picking on each other instead of your other fish. Maybe 6-8 Black Widow Tetras would also go fairly well.
