My four cats

I have four cats. Two I brought in..two my husband did.

this is Casey. His a 5 year old (dec 27, 2011) Maine ****. I got him shaved a couple month ago that's why the short coat. He's a retired show cat and our current Diva. I've had him a couple years now.

This is Weazly. Very socialized. Likes to ride on shoulders. Husband had him from 6 weeks on and he's almost 4 years old. (march 15, 2013) we say he's half yak as cats are graceful creatures and he is not.

This is Jazz. He's almost 5 years old (feb 29, 2012). He was born in my feral cat colony and brought him in when he was 4 weeks old. Bottle fed. He's very social with other cats and dogs.

This is Molly. She's the oldest (may 10, 2009). She's the Queen. Not the brightest but very much a cat. Social on her own terms and tolerates the boys.

Ok so apparently I got ages wrong but not birthdays. Thanks! Find a good breeder and be willing to spend money. I just had to pay for Casey's neuter since he is a retired show cat and stud. I also helped his owner/breeder find home for other retired cats. I suggest going to cat shows. Look up Cat Fanciers Association or TICA. Those are the most popular cat registrys

Well, currently I can't get a new cat, but hopefully it works out in the future. Thanks for the advice!

Welcome . They usually are sweethearts I have found. Dang I hope Casey lives that long! He turned 5 today. I hope all my cats live long lives. I think 4 cats in our limit but we do plan to always have at least one house cat and one apprentice house cat. Hehe. A kitten has got to learn the ropes somehow

We got Punkin when she was 3 months old. When she was 1 1/2 we got Bandit from a shelter. He was also 1 1/2. We lost him in July 2015 when he was 17 to kidney problems. When they were 4 1/2 we inherited a guy named Bogie who was about 6. He made it to 12. They were all wonderful. Thanks for letting me reminisce

Oh boy! Two teenage cats for Punkin and Bandit hehehe. Oh awesome! My first cat, Eeyore lived with me for 15 years she was a stray so I dunno how old she was. Molly and Weazly my husband has had since each was 6 weeks old. I've had Jazz since he was 4 weeks old and Casey since 3 years old. He's my retired show cat. Oh of course! I love to talk cat

jenmur your cats are beautiful! We did have seven but are down to five since my done moved out on his own and took his two with him. One of his and one of ours was a Bombay. Solid black with a white tuft on the chest and deep yellow eyes, sweet as can be and always purring. Your Jazz looks a lot like both of them. If he never stops purring he may be a Bombay as well. Both of ours were strays we rescued. Bombays have specific traits that, once you know about them, you go, oh, that's why he's THAT way! Google it you may be surprised b/c I swear Jazz is almost a doppelgänger to ours (just skinnier)! (Ours are both pleasingly plump!)

Drummindot. Thanks! That would do it! Hehe. Oh wow! Yeah Jazz mom was a shorthair grey cat dad I'm guessing was an orange tabby both were part of my feral colony. Jazz is small but has a loud purr and meow. Some cat show people said he could have Bombay in him somewhere. He also has leopard spots heheh. Just can't see them like a black panther.

Punkin. He likes to think he's regal. Hehe. Until a string with feathers makes an appearance

Oh he's gorgeous! Yes the string with feathers is a hit at our house. I think it even ranks above the laser pointer with the animals. Gonna have to take a pic of a picture of Eeyore and Sixx some day and post them here

Hehe. Eeyore was a tortoiseshell tabby and Sixx was a tabby and white like Casey. Ohh I think I have pics of Missy on here! She started out in my feral colony but moved inside one winter and stayed. Poor girl she was so sick . But I have her a good couple years my vet said that she wouldn't have had otherwise.

She was around when I had Jazz, Agnes and Ghost as babies. She grumped when I brought them downstairs but she was always gentle with them.

They are . My vet guessed she was about 3-5 years old with me. She came to my house at first with three little kittens. Very well behaved.

She sounds like Molly. She tolerates the boys. I think queens like more personal space

From other cats. Hehe. And that is her blanket. Because she is using it! I still have that black and white blanket in the picture of Missy and Jazz. And Jazz still loves laying on me when I use it. Or curling up without me on it. My friend got me that thing as a Christmas gift and he took it!

Of course. And as long as we mere humans realize this all will be well. Cats were worshipped as gods...they have not forgotten this
