My fish will be coming soon! Edit They have arrived!

I have ordered the Goldfish I want, and they will be mailed out on Wednesday!
    I'm getting really excited!!

Here are the pictures of the 3 that I have chosen:

I picked the Moor and Ranchu and boyfriend picked out the Pearlscale :) Cuties the lot of them.
I've also 'babyproofed' the tank so that everyones eyes and fins are safe!

I'll be sure to get pictures of them when they arrive in their new home!!

Hi! Cute fish there... Can't wait to see pictures of them after they arrive :)

Are they going to be in their own tank? How did you "baby-proof" it?

Yup, they have their own 37G they are going in to!

Before I had my tank set up all pretty with driftwood and lava rocks. But then realized the hazards involved with them.
The plastic plant seems like it will be ok (it passed the nylon test), but I might take it out if they seem to be bothered by it.

So my tank is pretty sparse now. I may have to remove the gravel in the future, as I don't want them to choke on it. But at the size they are right now, I don't think it will be a problem, just something for me to look out for later.

I have once had an amazing collection of gold fish. The only prob is that they dirty the tank a lot. Invest in a good filter system.

    They have arrived!

    My fish have come!
    They are totally cute!

The Ranchu and Pearlscale are both about 2 inches, so they are just little guys!! The Moor is about an inch bigger, and kinda is the boss, no worries about him not being able to see his/her food!

The Ranchu seems to have some swim bladder problems though. I got him to eat a quarter of a pea tonight, and I'll try just feeding him only peas tomorrow and make sure he gets some, and hopefully it will all straighten out. The peas are the same color as the gravel, so he will swim towards it as it is falling, and then as soon as it hits the gravel he can't see it and gives up.

The Moor also seems to have a white spot on his tail, and I'm not sure if I should be worrying about Ich. I'll keep an eye on it and see if there is a difference in the next two days. I'll get some Ich medication too.
I know you can crank the temperature, but because they are goldies, and they've been through so much stress right now that I don't want to put them through more.
The only one you can tell for Ich though is the Moor. How would you find white spots on white fish??

Excuse me, where are the pics? :pokey:

    We demand pics! :photo:

And congrats on the fish, posting pics might actually help determine what is wrong with them.

I used to take pictures of my aquarium with my web cam. And then my computer crashed (harddrive failure), so I have to borrow my boyfriends computer right now. Maybe I can borrow my dads camera for a bit, because ya, My mom is demanding pictures as well!

I'm positive now that my black moor has ich. And my Ranchu has swim bladder problems. I posted in the Goldfish forum and got some recommendations there on what to do about it. I'm going to the fish store today, so I might pick up a breeder basket too, because the Ranchu just can't compete for the food when he is floating around. Alll the other fish are nabbing all the peas before he can get to it.
I wish I could have got a bag full of healthy happy fish in the mail, but I'm sure I can pull all of them through this!

Congrats on recieving your babies! Sorry to hear they aren't well, but with a caring owner such as yourself I'm sure they'll be fine :)

Sorry to hear you're having problems. Recieving fish through the mail is always tricky.
