Here is my fish tank! we've been through a lot. cyano bacteria, algae, cycling with fish and a recent discovery of TOO much light stressing my fish out.

as to date I have 6 black phantom tetras (all original, no deaths) 1 Zebra snail and some little snails (pond snails I think?) a MTS and 4 new amano shrimp!

everything is going great now, the fish aren't hiding from the blinding light and the amanos have been busy eating and scuttling around. I haven't had to clean my tank of algae (other than the cyano outbreak, a mystery person from my household was feeding my fish without me knowing and I was leaving the lights on too long) since I got my zebra snail and since I got the mts and little snails for free from plants it's been a blast.

this forum has been a GREAT help and I'm very appreciative.

more photos! I got bored. thanks for the comments!

two shrimps and my snail. I can't seem to be getting any shots of the fish, apparently they are very scared of me now for some reason... who knows.

Great shots. Maybe your fish are camera shy. LOL

Ohh I like it! How do you like your snail and shrimp? I'm thinking of getting some. Just recently decided on the snail to help with my algae problem... How do you find your snail helps with your algae?

Great job with the aquascaping!

I love my shrimps and snail! the zebra snail does an awesome job of eating the algae off the glass, I took the magnet scrubber out of my tank because I haven't needed it at all. the shrimp seem to be eating the brown gunk on the leaves, so the plants are looking supreme now.

here's some photos of the fish! they are out and about now.

thanks for all the compliments my heart is warmed!
This is my first foray into aquariums since I had a pair of convict cichlids a LOONG time ago. nothing with that tank went right, but man- are they ever hardy fish...

as for the camera, I used a Nikon D2X with a F1.4 85MM lens with an extension tube.

I absolutely love your aquascaping. Really great job.

Your species look great. Aren't amanos the best?

But wow, I haven't seen a heater like that in 30 years..... did you get it at an antique store?
