My fish jumped out of his tank

sooo... I hav a flowerhorn (Tony) and my friend put his finger above the water and Tony latched on and he jerked back, Tony came with him and he fell maybe 3 feet to the hard wood floor. he was out for maybe 5 seconds he is swimming but also really hiding. there is no awkward swimming though. should I give him something for stress?

Lol hope your friend don’t do that again. Only time will tell how he’s going to be. Probably stressed from his flying trip.

Whoops ! Post it note on the tank “ this killer fish will bite “ !

Turn the lights off and let his little heart calm down from his adventure. Check him tomorrow for signs of torn fins , slime coat damage etc. if he has any signs up your water changes for a while and he should heal just fine if no major damage was caused. Some fish are a lot more resilient than we give them credit for. Thank the lord it wasn’t a prized tetra ;)

Those little devils are hardy so I'm sure he'll be fine, you could add some bottled slime coat to the aquarium just in case.

ssinitt, he has done that before but apparently Tony lacubed on! I wasn’t even there when it happened! it was my Either a friend and mine

good! he is out and swimming well! last night he ate too! he only ate some small pellets and hasnt eaten out of the tongs yet again but i think he will be good!
