I cannot make a positive diagnosis, but I can say that poor water quality and/or overcrowding is the probable cause. Most likely your molly is suffering from Tuberculosis. I suggest isolating him from your other fish and doing an immediate 50% water change. You should also check your water parameters after the water change and perform additional changes every day until you get your parameters to acceptable levels of zero ammonia and zero nitrite. Also, you may need to address any overstocking issues and remedy them if applicable.

Can you take a picture of him?
Many times people like to produce fish like crazy in which they can come out with deformation. I would recommend checking your fish out to make sure they look nice and healthy before purchasing them.

Probably a deformity. Likely due to inbreeding. I would kill the fish.

Definitely due to poor water quality or its quite possible the fish may already have been sick when you purchased it?
