Fish coming soon. Right now they're pretty much snail farms. Both cycled and ready to roll. Sorry for the potato quality pics. The first pic is a UNS 5n that I set up with the Walstad method in mind, however I've added a sponge filter and a heater. It's been a huge experiment, really. I've learned quite a bit. It was set up on the 21st of October last year and has gone through a few variations as far as hardscape and plants. Hoping to use it for shrimp at some point. It's been quite a nightmare at times, I've made most of the mistakes you can make, but haven't been dissuaded so far.
The second pic is of my Fluval 15g, which I set up the early part of December. I want to eventually get more plants, I'd like it to be a real jungle tank. I have some endlers coming this weekend, going to give breeding a try. Really excited, and of course nervous. While the 5n was cycled without fish, I did use some starter bacteria in the Fluval and have been dosing ammonia to both tanks the last two weeks to make sure my water quality is on point.
Anyhow, just wanted to share. I'm new to the hobby, but thoroughly engrossed so far. I also have a variety of jars going to grow bits and pieces, mostly anacharis, hornwort, and guppy grass, with susswassertang here and there. I'm afraid this rabbit hole may not have a bottom.
