50 Gallon Tank My First Try At Diy

Killakia

So I decided to try my hand at making a submerged filter to help control my water chemistry.
so the first thing I did was get the material to do this.

Aquapapa 6lbs Premier Bio Ceramic Rings

Media Block Foam Pads

And of course:

PEANUT BUTTER!!!!

So the first thing I did was clean out the peanut butter (no worries I did not waste I just put it in another container)

Then I used Peroxide and then vinegar to clean the container out:

Next I cut the hole out in the cap, yes it is not a great cut.

I cut the foam to fit. I glued the most course foam to the lid.

I drilled holes for the suction cups and air hose then inserted them.

I then added all the parts together.

Then I added it to my tank.

Once I get more lava rocks I will remove this filter and cover it with them. I don't like the look of this and I don't want a floating rock so it will look like a large standing rock cave.

Since This is the first time I tried this, is there any advice or something I did wrong?

Thanks
