Funny My first Rant: My awful morning!

OK, Wed night I ended my ICH treatment (turned temp down 1 degree and will continue each day until back to normal, 30% water change to start to remove salt, you know, the usual).

Then this morning, one of my female mollies decided to have babies and I woke up to 4 tiny faces looking at me from between the gravel. I knew she was pregnant before the ICH as she looked like she swallowed a cube, but during ICH (she was only fish to show the symptoms), she got smaller and I assumed she miscarried or whatever. So this was a surprise... So I caught 3 of the tiny faces very easily as they were stunned by the light going on for the first time in their tiny lives, the fourth was much more sneaky (and the biggest).

I put them in my baby floating nursery thing and a danio joined them. Having removed him, I started to get ready for work. As I was finishing, another danio casually swims over and jumped in. Now it was war... I got him out, and had to move the babies in their little tank, in a tub (so they never died) downstairs to the tank where my guppies and their babies are growing up (no other choice atm) and moved them there. As I do that, my filter goes crazy, making funny noises and stopped working. Great!!

I'm in the process of retiring this filter due to fish deaths but the new filter is still cycling in beside it and is NOT ready so I had to fix the filter. Dismantling it, the only thing I could do was remove the impeller and clean it, as I am not technically minded. Fortunately it worked and I do not have to worry about it all day.

My mum is in the house all day today and will keep an eye out for molly babies and an eye on the filter too.

Well I did not have time for breakfast or to make my lunch, so I basically stuffed some cereal in a box, poured milk into a thermos and dashed to work. By this time I was late so I made my own parking space up, out of the way, just not in painted lines. Then one of the work car park employees chases me "That's not a parking space..." I said "I'm running so late, you would not believe what happened this morning (and let's face it, he wouldn't...), I don't have time" Then he goes "What';s your name and your managers name?" There was no way I was telling him for one time parking wrong when people dop it every day and never get caught. The he says "You. What's your name and your manager's name?" This made me angry so I stopped turned around and said "Don't you dare call me 'you', this is really not the time, I'm late and I'm going" Turned round and walked off, I know for a fact he watched where I went. That however is the least of my problems haha!

Now at my work I am busy, why are people phoning on a Friday?? Please give me a break!

Sorry for the rant, but I know you all secretly enjoy reading them haha! I shall browse through fishlore to cheer me up arty0011:

P.S. I just went and moved my car to a proper space but I still am not allowed there (car share bit lol!!!)

The babies are doing OK, they have now got greedy and are searching about everywhere for food, the little bellies are growing.
Good luck with your mollies Dolphini. If you look at the babies really carefully, you can see the top fin that mollies have already perfectly formed, it's soooo teeny! They're about twice the size of guppy babies, I was shocked that they were so big. Well as big as fry can be!
