My First Planted Tank

I had a 10 gallon tank that I rebuilt into my first low lech planted tank. I spent hours over several days researching, I changed the substrate to Flourite black after rinsing the heck out of it , bought a glass hood to put my new Nicrew plant light on, bought a piece of Malaysian wood that I boiled for hours over a few days and weeks later it's finally done!

It has 3 african dwarf frogs and soon some nano chillI rasporas.

If you have any name suggestions, tell me (I'm really into nature and serenity and was going for a pond vibe with frogs and all)

 

Look good! That red rubin will need an iron supplement to keep it red. Without the iron it will just be green, still pretty but I'm assuming you wanted a red plant.

Just follow the directions and add it. Add it in the morning. It's usually better if you do it a little throughout the week instead of all at once. I'd double check about any fertilizers or anything with the ADF, I'm not familiar with them. I use Seachem iron. My biggest complaint about it is it doesn't have a child safety lid and if you have children in the house you need to be aware of it. It smells horrid but so do most cleaners/fertilizers and we still keep safety lids on them.
