My first betta in years!

So I was out Black Friday shopping at the pet stores, as one does, and at Petco I saw this little guy and I just couldn't resit. I saw him and I immediately knew he was coming home with me, I had a 5 gallon indoor pond-esc tank I had intended in just keeping plants and snails in but I figured it would suite him just fine so I made the impulse purchase. I haven't had a betta fish in a few years now since my old one died (the fish that really got me into the hobby and planted tanks) and I'm excited to be back into the betta world! I would like your guys expertise though, does he look healthy (he's been making a bubble nest already though which I think is a good sign)?- I've been thinking about it and I am kind of concerned about just how small his body is, he can't be much longer than an inch from his nose to the end of his tail, will he grow? Also I would love some help with a name! I'm thinking sailor (b/c his fins remind me of a ships mast), or mirror (b/c of how symmetrical his top and bottom half are). Thank you so much everyone! Here is the little guy in question! (sorry for the poorish quality):

He is beautiful. But as developed as his fins are, he may never be a big guy. Enjoy him and give him the best life. Welcome back to the Betta world.

Love him!

I bought a really small veiltail, and he ended up growing to about 3 inches, and I mean only his body, not including his long fins. He might surprise you!

And I do love the name Sailor....it fits him.

Or maybe sky...he is so pretty!

I think I'm gonna go with Sailor, his fins really remind me of a Junk boat and I don't want to name him Junk lol, so Sailor it is.
I am hoping he'll grow, but I do find his minute size to be quite adorable so I'd be okay if he didn't so long as he's still healthy!

He seems to be healthy, and his fins are in good condition. He'll probably colour up a lot more in your care. With regards to his body, he could just be young, but a good diet and environment will help immensely with growth. I thought my male plakat was full grown when I got him, but he surprised me and grew an inch in length.

As for name suggestions:
Pluto
Artemis
Jax
Gary

He's already colored up so much this past week! The reds on the ends of his fins are phenomenally beautiful and much more bright and pronounced then before. I'm really interested to see how much he grows- right now he's so small I lose him in the plants all the time and then I get worried he's somehow disappeared, but all I have to do is put my finger in the water and he'll come swimming over to it. The picture really does not do justice to how small he really is.

He’s beautiful! He’s a double tail (my favourite) and they do tend to have shorter bodies ....
