My First Aquarium, Now Fully Planted.

The tank finished cycling 3 months ago and since then I've been slowly adding plants. I think I'm done now and am just sitting back and watching it all develop. I have some brown algae in places but that's becoming less as time goes on.

This aquarium malarkey is all very new to me so I'm basically experimenting and trying to learn as I go along. I'm quite happy with how things are going but have no doubt I'll hit some speed bumps along the way. So far I'm really enjoying it, though.

Any criticisms or suggestions are welcome.

They are a little difficult to see but there are some in every picture. I can't see any RCS or the Cories but I definitely see Embers and Guppies.

Thanks Maciel. I've changed things quite a bit over the weeks until I was totally happy with it. I THINK I've done messing about with it now, though.

It's gorgeous and a great beginning! The only thing I can think of, if it were me, is to add at least 6 more Pygmy Cories and another 7 or so Ember Tetras. I'm very familiar with both and these tiny ones love to be in larger groups than what you have. That's if you want to see them truly thrive and be happy.

Oh, I was just reading about a 29 gallon, but I see your tank is only 13 gallons. So, that probably won't work. Anyway, best wishes and enjoy!

Thanks very much, Freshwater. I am actually planning on getting another 6 Pygmy Cories. I bought the last two my lfs had at the time and have been waiting weeks for them to get some more in. I want to get two more Embers, too so I have 8 of each. As you say, I think that will be the tank pretty much maxed out then.
