Lots of times, neato threads get lost in the shuffle.

Your doggies are ADORABLE! I want to snuggle both of them! How old are they now?

They are gorgeous!

I'm sorry about Zoe. Is degenerative myelopathy treatable?

What beautiful doggers! Shasta has an adorable face. An acquaintance has a brindle male pit that I just love. He's a total lap dog... waits patiently until I plop down on the floor then throws himself across my lap.

I'm so sorry to hear about Zoe and DM. Nasty stuff... does her breeder know? It seems there could be a genetic predisposition. The only good thing that can be said about DM (if there can be a "good thing") is the lack of pain.

Please give Zoe a gentle snuggle from a Berner fan in Colorado.

Your dogs are gorgeous. The pic of the two of them snuggled next to each other in the snow is too cute!

Shasta looks very large for a pit. Did you ever see her parents, or was she a rescue (I'm curious if they were that big as well)?

I saw her parents and they where big and she is a purebred.

Sometimes dogs can vary in size so much. We had a yorkie that had puppies when I was young - some friends bought the biggest and smallest of a litter and they were like 4 lbs and 20 lbs. Considering that an average yorkie is about 6-7 lbs, 20 lbs is like 3x as big! The mom was pretty big, but not nearly as big as the one boy.

Saying they are horrible is a pretty big generalization.
It's like saying all pitbulls are mean.
I'm assuming yours isn't.
Please give respect to other breeds as you would want people to show respect to breeds you prefer.

Thanks

My son has a Golden Retriever that they got when their first child was one year old. That child is now 19yrs old and going to college. The Golden as old as she is is still the sweetest dog you could ever want.
Your doggies are adorable

I used to be a groomer; groomed dozens of golden retrievers... all but two were terrifyingly mean when their owners weren't around! Never had a problem with a pittie! Your dogs are beautiful.

Wow, such generalizations are so unfair. There are good and bad representatives in all breeds (and mixed breeds). Dogs, like humans, are products of their genetics and/or environment.

Well Ive know like 10 different BMDs and there all like that.

I'm so glad that the BMD's you've met have been wonderful.

However, as stated before, there are good and bad representations of all dogs.

If this thread becomes a "breed debate", I'll close it.

Thanks

I'd love to have BMD. I've had pit in the past. The Chow Chow is my all time favorite dog still. Had 3 now.
