It's a mirabello 30 with charcoal, foam and ceramic filters.

I have 4 plants in it. Don't know the names...
A castle and a vase in which the fish sometimes hide
and:

4 Cherry Barbs
3 Cardinals
3 Rummys
2 Panda Corys

The water is a cozy 27.2 degrees and looking good.
I think anyways..

Thanks everyone!

I called it crowded because some people thought I had too many fish for the size of my tank.

As for the spikey grass... I became that way after I dropped substrate on it!

(so it's basically split.)

Well I think the grass looks great just the way it is! And IMO your tank is not over crowded at all, you have some small fish there that won't get much over 1.5-2 inches! Your 30 gallon tank is fine... ;D

he he, Deus. I didn't want to say but it seemed kinda small for a 30G!

Am in negociations for another 30G too, and not getting there any faster than you. Any tips? P.S. Don't say guilttripping, didn't work.

Well, in my case, my wife seems to be getting more and more interested in the fish and I usually let her choose them. So I'm winning her that way.

Luckly you! The issue with him is that he keeps thinking no tank is ever overcrowded. It's always a huuuge discussion to make him understand that just because two fish can swim across the tank without bumping into each other doesn't me the tank is not overcrowded.

I think the problem comes from fish store who usually have 20+ fish in their aquarium.

When you see that, it becomes hard to understand all the rules and all..

AND the exeptions as well.

what you need is to take him to a room and show him how much wasted space there is.. tell him it could hold 50 people.. but would they be happy.. and fish are like us and any other living creature.. they need some space.

Do what my lot did.... Buy another small tank, and another small tank, and another small tank.... the idea soon gets through that a larger tank would be so much better! (Then get him involved in the diy side... most guys just love to create things)
