My Birthday

Well, today's my birthday. Yesterday was almost my birthday, but I had to be born 2 minutes after midnight, ya know, because it just wouldn't be dramatic enough if I didn't keep everyone up throughout the night.

Anywhoo, this is a funny post because well, ironically, I've been planning for my birthday for months, but it's Tuesday in the dead of winter, so honestly, what's there to do?

Well, here's how I spent my "special day", if anyone cares LOL.

Woke up, watched part of a NickI Minaj video until my mom got up and decided that since she sat down at her computer next to me, it would be just way too awkward if she happened to glance over, so I stopped that.

Ate waffles for breakfast, I'm supposed to be on a diet (trying to keep slim), but whatever.

Exterminator came over, he was fairly young and cute, so I watched him up in the attic from my doorway (the entrance to the attic is right outside my doorway, which doesn't do my stress levels good if I've been listening to horror stories and I'm trying to sleep at night). That was fun, lol.

Took a hot bath (much needed, haven't had one in like, two years!!), gave myself a pedicure AND a manicure, and took a nap! What a productive day!!!

But know what's funny? My mom gave me $30 towards ANYTHING aquarium related! And you know what she said? She said I could get ONE more betta tank if I signed a piece of paper promising that it would be my last running tank!!!

I have no idea why I'm making this post. I guess just to tell you guys about my awesome, thrilling birthday!! Now you don't have to ask, my adoring fans.

What about when you have your own money to spend? Does the contract still get enforced? Or does the contract only include tanks/fish bought with mom's money? LOL Because soon you will be able to get a job and earn your own money and you want to be able to spend it on your fish right?! So make sure there is something in the fine print that allows you to get more tanks when you have your own money for it.

No, I buy everything with my own money, unless my mom gives it to me. Well, technically speaking, "my" money is really just allowance money that my mom gives me, but she really won't let me have any more running tanks past the third one. Maybe she's worried about me saving up for a car or college or something silly like that. Who knows.

Thanks! Since my betta died recently, I plan to be getting another one and redecorating his old tank, hopefully this weekend. I'll be spending the $30 on that, and then later this year, I'll probably be getting that final betta tank (as well as a stand for it, she said I couldn't use my nightstand, something about needing to be able to read at night). I've already got the tank picked out, I'm just hoping it'll go on sale again!

Oh, but she DID say that I could UPGRADE my 20 gallon, within "reason", so...

Well if the tank on your nightstand has a really good light, you could read by that light Problem solved! jk
