My bettas color is incredibly washed out

I don't know if it's me or if I'm going crazy, but my bettas color has almost completely faded.

She's still very active and eating fine and shows no signs of stress but her color is almost completely gone.

She's a koi betta if that makes a difference

 

Not a betta pro but I think if it has the marble gene ( don't quote me ) it will change colors throughout its life.

 

if you just noticed this and it’s a recent thing then your water parameters, tank size, and Gish age will help us.

I don't see anything wrong with her and it just looks like natural coloration. Koi bettas will have the marble gene which causes them to change colors, she's just changing into those colors.

Basically saying what everyone else is saying if it was an over night type of thing then check your parameters, the first thing I thought is that possibility of the marble gene where they’ll change coloration, and if you know for sure it’s not a marble gene or parameters could be a possible lack of nutrition if bettas don’t have proper nutrition their colors will fade, If they’re otherwise normal doesn’t raise alarm for disease or anything, maybe feed bloodworms or something like it for protein and other nutrients or switch up your food brand if you suspect it to be that
