My Betta Wont Poop

My 1yr betta won't poop . I hardly see him poop at all . I feed him 5 days a week, fast 2 . I feed him bloodworms and pellets , mainly pellets and sometimes peas . I've done the fasting/pea diet but I still don't see any poop from him or on the gravel . He doesn't have a bloated stomach like ones online but he did at one point 2 weeks ago and it went away , didnt see poop then either. I tend to check on him every hour so Itd be hard to miss. I feel like it could be stress because he is sick at the moment but he wouldn't really poop before either. I'm looking into bug bites and daphnia as well. Any tips?

 

A photo of the fish will help the betta prose help you out, just because you don't see it doesn't mean she's not pooping, if she wasn't she would be bloated or if there was an internal parasite she would be very thin so a photo is important

 

If doesn't have a sunken belly, he's eating and if he's not bloated, he's not consitipated...so I wouldn't worry about him.

I agree with jdhef. If he's not bloated and acting as he otherwise would, he should be fine. I wouldn't give him peas - bettas are micropredators and can't break it down in their stomach. Instead, you can give him daphnia. But he sounds okay and well-loved!

 

One of my bettas is a stealth pooper. I NEVER see him do it, nor do I see what he leaves behind. But I know he does it, because that little round stomach goes back to normal hours after he eats.

Yours may just be like mine! My little boy’s healthy and happy otherwise, so I don’t worry.
