My Betta Has A Swollen Belly! Please Help!

I was given a gorgeous red crowntail that belonged to a friend of mine. Her stomach was swollen so I tried fasting her for a few days and started her on a good verryied died with frozen foods amongst soaked pellets, flakes, etc. Nothing. So I fasted her again and I gave her a quarter of a skinned pea and after a day still nothing. The parameters are good and she’s in a heated planted tank with a filter(80°) I’m not sure what steps to take to help her. More pea? Meds?

Hello! Welcome to Fishlore

Does she have any lifted scales anywhere on her body?
What are your tank parameters? Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates.

Don't feed her for three days. Try another pea & if if you aren't seeing results, try an epsom salt bath. Not sure how much salt:gallon.

Maybe shes egg bound...? It looks like the area were the eggs are. Or she just has lots of eggs, my females get thicc in their once a month egg cycle. Or maybe shes like me and had a little to much tacobell and needs to sit on it for a couple more days.

I keep all the parameters at 0. There really should be no way she can be egg bound but how would you treat for that? She isn't pinioning but I did find ich on her today and began treatment for that. Do I feed the whole pea? And how often can I soak her?
