My betta has a lump on his head???

- almost 2 weeks

- no, so I change the water every 2-3 days

- no

- just 1 betta (him)
Maintenance

- every 2-3 days
How much of the water do you change?
- 10%
What do you use to treat your water?
- seachem prime, tetra aqua safe for bettas
Do you vacuum the substrate or just the water?
- no substrate

- I used cycled water from anither tank thats been running for 5 months

- test strips

- 4-5 pellets

Omega one pellets an sometimes new life spectrum

- once in a while

- not a lot since he doesnt really like them

Illness & Symptoms

- 2 months
How long ago did you first notice these symptoms?
- few minutes ago. He didnt have it earlier this morning
In a few words, can you explain the symptoms?
- a reddish bump forming in the tip of his head
Have you started any treatment for the illness?
- not yet since i dont know what it is
Was your fish physically ill or injured upon purchase?
- no he was just slightly stressed from shipping
How has its behavior and appearance changed, if at all?
- he has a large bump on his head that it makes his scales perk up slightly but he still wants food
I forgot to attach the pictures but the bump is right before the mouth

Almost looks like a couple little cuts/scrapes on either side of that bump. I would try some aquarium salt and 2 or 3 water changes weekly for the next couple weeks, may help.

The black lines are part of his coloring when i first got him. I dont really see any scrapes because theres nothing in the tank to scrape him. Im cautious with my dumbo bettas so I dont give them anything sharp

Ah, i see it more clearly now. Thought looked maybe too symmetrical for wounds.

Can't really tell what it is, as far as cyst or tumor. If tumor, can't really do much. Cysts can be treatable, but don't remember all how off the top of my head.

Is that a bubble nest?
Yep. Its probably just because when he eats he lets out bubbles. He doesn't like to work to make a nest.
