My baby built his first bubble nest!

Hooray! I'm so proud of him. Huckleberry Fin built his first bubble nest! He was young when I got him and I've had him for a year, is this normal?

 

Yup! Not all bettas make bubble nests but when they do it’s a good sign that they’re happy!

Lol I remember when Acorn did that for the first time. I freaked out.

 

Even my old man bettas still make them every so often. They have it tough though...i tend to keep a good bit of surface agitation so they don't get to show them off much.

 

It's exciting isn't it? I remember Mick's first huge bubble (mountain) nest after I added tannins to his water.
