My Anglefish Fighting

Okay I know that it is partly my mistake for putting 9 angle fish in a 40 gallon but I haven't been able to get rid of them because they came with the tank so I admit my mistake but lately there has been one or two that just have been going after the other angelfish out of no where. They were in the tank for about 2 weeks or more just fine and then they started to fight of nip the fins of each other and I need a way to get rid of some and how many do yall recommend to keep if I have
2 tiger barbs
1 green barb
3 albino Cory catfish
4 zebra danio
3 black skirt tetra
1 red minor tetra

I would get rid of all but one of the angels, as it sounds like you have a breeding pair which get nasty and remain nasty every time they spawn. Pick the one you like the best and sell or trade in or give away the rest, I know how hard that can be!
Why have you not been able to get rid of them? Did the person who gave/sold you the tank request it? Didn't they know it is a bad idea to keep so many adult angels together?

The guy I bought the tank from said that he doesn't want the fish so I was forced to take them and I can't just kill them and I'm trying to donate them to petco or petsmart but since I have a small petco I don't think they will take all 8 of them

You willing to ship? How big are they? I know my local one (not too big, but pretty much the only "pet store" in that area) takesI n everything, they still have over a dozen convict cichlids someone dropped off months ago. But large angels go very fast because they are half price of the fish's price as an adoption fee (even very bland or just silver angelfish). Try and see if they will take at least half of them, that will solve some issue.

You could probably keep 1-2 in a 40 gallon tank. However, the rest of your planned stocking has some issues: barbs, catfish, daniis, and tetras are all schooling fish and their school needs to be of the same species (so 2 tiger barbs and 1 greed barb won't school together). I'd rethink your stocking before we using how many angels you can keep.

Only way to keep a group that size is having a 100+ gallon tank.

Angels when feeling cramped will get nippy also. They like space. Probably feeling cramped too.

They should not be kept with Tiger Barbs as they are fin nippers. Angels long flowing fins will be shredded. If things are fine now, it can be an issue at one point. Keep an eye on them.

I'd figure out which are your favorite fish in the tank, and rebuild your stock around them. Many local fish stores will take fish donations.
