Hey guys I have an old old air pump it's hooked up to a small airstone it bubbles perfectly however the bubbles sound like chirping birds as the reach the surface. The problem isn't the pump I can take the hose off and blow thru it and have he same problem has anyone else dealt with this?
Most of the time when people use airstones the noise is actually coming from the air bubbles as 2012318 said. The best way to avoid this is too move the airstone around the tank. My bettas in my 3 gallons have this problem. I have to put the airstone floating in the middle and to weaken the air going to the stones. It could most likely be the airstone, probably should get a new airstone.
