Ah this is so exciting! I was just over feeding my fish in the 29 gal when I kept hearing all these weird noises. It took me a few seconds to realize it was my male ADF singing in his tank! I listen to other ADFs singing on Youtube to confirm. So cool!! He is still doing it right now and it seems to be getting louder! Just wanted to share it with you guys. =)

I'm not sure I want tadpoles! I wouldn't know what to do with em lol. I already have Molly babies to worry about since I now own 2 females and 2 males. Bought a breeder box in case we have babies soon!

My ADFs started singing not long ago too, so adorable.

My only issue is I have my tank in my room and sometimes it wakes me up, haha. But it's cute.

That's so neat

But the question is..do they sing like Susan Boyle or Captain Beefheart ?

My ADF started signing. It had me so worried as I thought that the filter pump was breaking down. His little mouth doesn't even seem to move.

It definitely has me thinking I'll have to get it a play mate eventually, I feel so bad listening to him calling out for attention and knowing that no one is going to hear his call.

They sing? I have had mine for 1 year and nothing. I think I might have read something about that a little while ago.

How cute!
If you decide to get another be sure to quarantine it for at least 3 months.

Oh yes, Lucy you have become quite the go-to with the ADF for me. When my tank is ready for another frog, I'll definitely get a quarantine tank for it. Especially since I went to my LFS today, to add zanios to my three to calm them down, and the frogs were awful. They were all hugely bloated, with some dead in the tank, and all bright red. I wouldn't even get my fish there in case they could carry the fungus, I went to a different store.

But it definitely got me thinking that it's really hard to tell what's going on in those stores. A couple weeks ago I would have thought the frogs with the red were cuter and more colourful. I didn't worry about a quarantine tank with the Zanios, but before I add anything else, I'll definitely find a QT.

Thanks for all your help, even when it was to someone else and helped me indirectly.

Thanks for the compliment but I'm sure others have helped you also.

Fish wouldn't be carriers of the fungus but it can be tranfered through the water so that was a smart move.
