My 1750 litre (460 US gallon) Brackish Tank

    12 Mudskippers, 13 Archers, 7 silver scats, 5 red tiger scats, 4 spotted scats, 7 knight gobies, 6 mono sebaes, 6 mono argentus, 4 green spotted puffers, 2 figure of 8 puffers, 2 pink spaghetti eels, 2 zebra blennys, 2 green chromides, mollies and snails (3 red crabs maybe)

    Nice setup, but how do you keep the mudskippers from "skipping out"? I've seen what they are capable of, and your setup seems too open to restrain them.

    I have about 150mm from water to the top of the glass and wall and make sure no floating platforms go near them, then there are walls and windows around the beach area and on the left hand side I have built a 300mm plywood wall with a little return in it. It seems to work fine. Plus I have lots of hiding areas so they look pretty happy in there.

    That wasn't my intention, I just wanted to build my dream tank(I would have made it bigger but was worried about heating it) I think I've got it balanced now

    Very nice. How long has it been running? Why is the water brown... wood?

    It hadn't been running long when the photos were took. It's been up around 2 months now. The beach area is 250 litres of aquatic compost and sand which gave the water a sort of tea colour it has cleared up now though, I shall post new photos soon
