I received my shipment from Drs Foster and Smith today.. Yippie!!!

Got my new hood lamp.. Dual tube!! Very nice!! (tried building my own.. Ran into multiple ballast issues so scraped the idea)

Got my new glass top!! I love the glass top!! I am never getting another plastic top again.. Glass is way cool!!

Got my test kits so I can figure out how well my C02 is doing!! It's right at 19.5 to 21 so that's perfect for a DIY system.. ;D

And a got some other nich nack stuff for future changes... Top Secret stuff... ;D

Also noticed that 2 of my male guppies from my last breeding experiment are AWESOME looking!! They are like green cobra guppies with a leapord print.. Extremely cool looking fish. I will take pics the best I can and post them up... The colors on these 2 fish are simply sweet looking!!

So I'm done now...

Those are some beauties! Did any females come out with that or just the 2 males? Are you going to repeat the breeding and see if you get more of that coloring? I'd definitely have the hardest time resisting those guppies if I saw them in a tank.

It is so cool ordering new equipment. Waiting for it to come in the mail, tracking it daily to see where it is. Much fun.

In a local mom and pop I visited yesterday, they had a tank full of guppy fry that they were selling 10/$1.00. At first glance they were so small you couldn't see any tails on them let alone the normal vibrant tails they get as they get older. But then while I was looking at their grown guppy tank I saw the most beautiful guppies I've ever seen and it made me go take a second look at the fry. To my surprise their bodies weren't the plain white color that I had though, but actually had vibrant colors on them. So colorful that it actually looked like it was fake (and no this store has a strict policy against that). I couldn't believe that they fry could look so beautiful, and it was hard not to scoop up a bunch and start a guppy tank. But I must have order in my MTS... freshwater puffer tank first, then discus (they had BEAUTIFUL juvenile discus for only $30 there which is the cheapest I've ever seen them sold for), then maybe a guppy tank .

These 2 fish came from the first 2 batches of fry... I kept 4 males... The rest are at a friends house for their child. I still have a few fry here that are working on growing up.

So to answer any questions... Yes I have been looking for a female with these colors from the last batch. May need to head over to my friends house and inspect the fish there as well.. I think they are simply awesome looking.. You really need to "see" them to appreciate how nice they look.

we're going to have to learn if our mahachaI start giving us lots of fry. I read on here about the bags that let air in but not water out so those filled with clean water and the malachite blue fish are usually shipped in maybe? along with heating or cooling packs and plenty of packing material mailed overnight might be the way we go. when the time comes, we'll post a q on it.

also i've heard many fish suppliers using amquel in the shipping water so that the fish don't have too much ammonia during transit as obviously no good bugs to convert it thru the cycle. also some stress coat might be an idea too. if you want to "practice" mailing fish....try this address first!! then I'll "practice" with my galaxy fry!! tan

Naw, sometimes she's in China, might reach her better there. Then again you might lose the package in all the hustle and bustle of so many people.

Little back on topic, how's the stuff coming about?
