MTS had babies!!!!

I just put 7 MTS snails in my Betta tank on 7/19/12 - 5 days ago and tonight, I noticed 3 small snails!!!! How many do they usually give birth to?
The ones I have had in here for 5 days are about 1/4 inch in size so they probably are not old enough to breed???
I saw these tiny specs in the white sand and couldn't believe my eyes!!!!

Geez, what is with all the breeding going on in my tanks?????

Love is in the air! I have no idea how many they usually give birth to...but I think I remember reading that unlike mystery snails and clutches, that MTS actually give birth to baby snails? That seems crazy that an invert would do live birth, but I swear I remember reading that, and I have babies and haven't seen any eggs.

Yeah I know they are live birth so there can't be that many of them right? These parent ones are so tiny themselves!!!! Unbelievable!!! LOL

I guess I won't be using my "fish only" baster for awhile..... LOL

What I want to know is when? The babies that I have spotted ( 4 so far ) are at different areas of the tank!
AND on top of that, I saw 4 strands of DUCKWEED on the surface!!! I don't have duckweed and these things are breeding in my 6 day old tank!!! Accck!

 

How'd the Duckweed get there???

 

I took out every last leaf-bit of duckweed in my 55, and there will be no trace of the stuff for weeks, then all of a sudden there will be a few plants. That stuff is tenacious.

I have no idea since I have no live plants in this Betta tank. I only put the Betta in 5 days ago!
I don't have duckweed in my other tank either!!!! May have hitchhiked some how?

 

Do you have duckweed in any tank? Did you recently buy any live plants? ...Are you sure it's duckweed?

 

I did get some recent plants but they have been in a quarantine bucket for a week or so... there is no duckweed in with the plants that I can see.. Yes, it is most certainly it with the telltale strand hanging down......
