MS is sickly with black bug-like dots inside shell

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping you can help. I purchased this little one (mystery snail) today and am a bit alarmed.
He hasn’t moved since I put him in the tank approximately 2pm. He’s not gone up for air, nothing (as of 9 last evening). He seems to be struggling to open - weak. his little antennas, barely moving.
I’ve not seen these black bug - like critters before can anyone identify?
I have him in a bag for protection just while I try to diagnose. Part of his shell has peeled away at the front you can see it hanging there.
Your thoughts are appreciated!! He is struggling that I do know. I don’t want him to suffer any longer. Poor thing.

The black bugs is his poo, id not keep him in the bag for the risk of ammonia build up which will kill him, put him back in the tank, he's probably just a little shocked from the move

Well that’s a relief!! Didn’t look like any I’ve seen before so was alarmed. They were everywhere - however he’s doing much better today and I’ve been able to get him to eat a bit too. Back in the tank he goes! Looks like he found a leaf to munch on. ❤️
