Hi i need help with moving with fish. So i am moving town from town, and it’s a 28 minute drive. And i have a 10 gallon tank and 1 molly and 2 platies. How can i move with them? Where to place them? And what do i have to do with my decorations and filter?

I'd put them in a 5 gallon bucket of tank water. As long as your filter media stays wet the bacteria will be alive and your filter will work at the new place. When you get to the new place, put the water you have in the bucket in your tank with 5 gallons new water and you'll be good.

5 gallon bucket of tank water? How can you even lift that heavy? Is it possible to like fill the bucket less than halfway?

For a trip that short, I don't think it would be a problem. You could move then In bags of water if you prefer. I was thinking it would be good to have some of the old water in case the new water has different parameters.

With only three fish you can use a smaller bucket. Put a lid on the bucket so you won't slosh all over the place when driving. You could use a battery driven air pump and use an airstone in the bucket.
So you know the water parameters in your new place? Are they very different from your present place?

Yeah i was going to carry in a bucket, but can i fill their bucket less than halfway? Like can less than half of the bucket be filled?

Do i need a airstone? And will i get ammonia when im keeping the fish in the bucket?

You're only talking an hour or so, I think you'll be fine. Don't feed them the day of the move if you're worried about ammonia but I don't think it will be long enough for it to be a problem.

You can buy battery powered air pumps at sporting good stores but I wouldn't for a trip this short.

do you have any suggestions where to place the tank? since I have to empty the tank so that it is easy to carry. It is a 10 gallon tank, any idea where to place it during the drive?

A flat surface so it does not get torqued, wrapped in blankets. The trunk is the best place, in my opinion.
