Moving House With Betta?

Hey all just looking for advice regarding travelling by car with my betta fish. I'm moving from Vancouver to Victoria by car (and ferry but we're driving on) this weekend and I want to make it as stress free as possible. The only other time Ive taken her in the car was on the way home from the pet store which was only a ten minute ride. The trip in total will take about 4 hours, 2 of which we'll be parked on the car deck on the ferry so little to no movement there. I'm just worried about the drive to and from the ferry on either side.

My current plan is to get a tupperware container with holes punched in the lid, fill it with tank water and secure it inside her empty tank, and put the tank in a box (with the lid ajar for air) I think I'll pad the outside of the container with tshirts or cloths or something so it's snug within the tank/box and won't shift around. Is there anything else I can do to make her comfortable and reduce movement/inertia while driving? How big a tupperware container should she travel in? I don't want to put her back in that little petsmart cup the whole way. Should I put any gravel/a secured plant in there with her for comfort or would that risk her bumping around on them? She's recovering from fin rot atm and just had a round of antibiotics so I really don't want to stress her out.

I also have two snails (a golden apple and a zebra nerite) and am planning on doing the same thing for them - in separate containers of course, they have their own tank. They're champs so I'm not as worried about them but I do want to ensure they won't get knocked around on the journey as well.

Any and all tips appreciated! Thanks friends.

I actually think they'll be fine, but you can change the water if you want.
Stop feeding the betta, until you move into the new house. If you stop feeding, they won't pollute the water as bad.

I would use the tallest container for the betta fill it 3/4 the way up with water. Dont punch any holes in the top water will just spash out. Pack it in the tank with clothes to help insulate it. Its only going to be in there for 5-6 hours total.

Wont they need some ventilation though? Particularly the betta cause of her labyrinth breathing. The petsmart cup she came in had little holed in the lid, though I guess she was living in that thing 24/7...

That's the good idea, I hadn't thought of that. I'm leaving tomorrow and she hasnt had a fasting day the last couple weeks so it'd probably be a good idea anyway. Ive been feeding her a couple extra pellets lately due to the fin rot, I figure she could use the protein to help heal.

The little cups have a hole so that they don't run out of air because the poor things are in there for weeks with water changes every couple days.

I know its awful isn't it? I was just amazed how much Alpha thrived after just a few weeks in her 3.5g. I made a before and after pic I was so impressed haha That is until she came down with fin rot for some reason (I keep the water pristine and rhe tanks cycled so I have no idea what happened) I'm going to buy and cycle a 5 gallon once I settle in at home cause Ill bet she'll be even happier there. Heres that pic I mentioned if you're interested, I'm a proud betta mom lol
