Moving Angelfish Into Tetra Tank

I have had a freshwater angelfish since January. He was originally my friend's fish, but he was very neglected and had fin rot, so I decided to bring him home and heal him myself. Since then, he is fin rot free and his fins are growing back very nicely, but I have been keeping him alone in a 10 gallon tank. I have another 30 gallon tank with three black skirt tetras and two long fin tetras who have been together since around October. Would it be ok to move the angelfish into the tetra tank, or would that cause aggression?

You can usually keep neon tetras with angelfish. I'm not really sure about other tetras but I know that neons and cardinals like angelfish. Just make sure you get smaller angelfish. Because if you don't they will probably eat the neons.

First of all tetras should be kept in groups of atleast 8 each

First, you need to bump up those schools to at least 6, then add the angel. How big is the Angelfish? What kind of tetra is a "longfin one"?

Please address the OP's question. They did not ask about the schooling size of the tetras.
Thanks!

You will have to watch the fish for nipping (black skirts are sometimes terrible about fin nipping), introduce the angel after everyone has eaten and relaxed. He likely will chase them a little but do not major harm. Do you know what the long fin tetra are? If they are all skirt tetras adding one more will help with nippiness if you happen to see any, they would keep it in the school instead of lashing out at other fish.
On the flip side make sure the angel isn't deciding they are food before it becomes a permanent home for everyone.

Black skirt tetras need water around 75f or below while angelfish need 77f+ so they are not temperature compatible.

57f?? They'd die in those temps. Larger angels do fine in 74-76 without ill effect. Its the juveniles and WC ones that needs warmer temps.

a correction to my last post: the "long fin tetras" are actually black phantom tetras. Sorry I have just always called them that

I'd be concerned about fin-nipping from the Black Skirt Tetras on the Angel. You need a plan B just in case.

Oh! Alright, well then I'd add the angel, but observe very closely. The angel might nip the phantom tetras, and the black skirts might nip the angel. Good luck!

Since they are of a similar body they will hang out but not school. I would trade in one of the two types if you can and up the numbers on the others (this will help prevent nipping of fins on the angel).
The angel, if he was housed with fish previously, might not bother anything - it mostly is other angels that they have issues with.

The angelfish is only about 1 1/2 inches to answer some of your questions
