We have had a super easy winter here in the North East. Allot of us have been horse back riding and motorcycle riding all winter. Well, seeing how my bike is all cleaned up and ready to go, we woke up to this!!! Someone stepped on Mother Nature's toes!:;b

Yes, we've had the best winter ever (if you don't like snow lol), but it was still too cold for me to ride I was allllmost thinking about dragging the bike out just so I could see it in the driveway, then we got this snow storm. Upside is, we're getting out of work at 3!

I live right next to the beach in balmy California. Venice Beach is a stones throw from my house. It is almost always beautiful here except when the June Gloom hits. All the tourists come in June for the summer's good weather and every year they are upset because of the June Gloom (we call it). But it has only stormed here a couple times this winter. We had one wind storm (high winds for us) and a few rain storms and that is it. My kids don't even own hats, mittens, or "warm clothes".

Well over here on the east coast my parents have a beach house in a tourist city. Once june hits we get june july september gloom all the tourist everywhere. Its pretty scary because none of them can drive for some reason but its good the house is on the water and a lot of restaurants and some stores are boat friendly. Actually its the middle of june when the tourist hit

I used to live on the strip of Venice Beach. My balcony littlerly looked over the strand and when the fog came in it rolled into my livingroom. On a day like today I would have called in sick to work, gone down to the beach for a cup of coffee, sunbathed, hung out with my friends and played volleybal (I played Volleyball all the way through college), and generally got into trouble at night. But alas, then I grew up and got responsible!!!

What I used to really hate was that on a hot Saturday afternoon it used to take an hour just for me to get parked at home!! So many tourists. Any of you want to come hang at Venice Beach let me know and we will have our hippy house ready for you. We always have people in and out going to Venice or Disneyland or such!! We love the company.... it reminds me of the old days when all I did was party.

Things get a LITTLE hectic close to December 24th, my dear.

Even the jolly ol elf can't remember everything.
That's why I keep lists.

I feel sorry for all you with the snow, we have also had a very mild winter here in the midwest, it has snowed twiced this year, about and 1inch one time and maybe 3inches for the last. we have just have had crazy fluctuating temps, 10*f one day and 70* two days later. It even hit 70* in january, which is unheard of. It made me laugh too, at the end of november the local news did a winter forcast that said it was supposed to be a very icy and snowy winter, including record snowfall in December. I don't think it got below freezing in December more than twice.

It has been running 10-12 degrees F warmer than normal all winter.

The fishhouse has a 3 foot across exhaust fan on the west end and a 4x12 foot collapsible window on the east end. The fan pushes out the full volume of air of the fishhouse every 15 minutes or so. So excess heat is usually not a factor.

Plus, the fish that can handle more heat are placed in the places in the fishhouse that get the warmest and vice versa.

it's been -12*C all week here in Canada and I'm having a hard time keeping my house heated!! I could jump into my oven some nights! I wouldn't mind for some warmer temps even if it did bring snow...I just want to be warm again

my friends think I'm nuts for 3 tanks yet you have a fish house it just means your more sane than I am
