MORE MTS snails!!!

Wholy Moly! There's a lot of breeding going on in both my tanks!

Now my main tank has baby MTS snails!!!! I only put 4 adults in there less than 3 weeks ago!!!!

So far I can only see 2 baby ones - tiny little specks

And to top that off, I noticed a bunch of unidentified "black pepper" like spots all concentrated in one area. Not sure who those belong to

Yep they will sure multiply but not usually above what food or waste is in the tank to sustain them. Snails are a good indicator of how good we're cleaning our tanks. when I see more snails (MTS are all I have) than I want I do a couple of really deep substrate vacuums.

That's the crazy thing! I am VERY diligent about cleaning, vacuuming and feeding my fish every OTHER Day as to not have waste. I am sure one of the adults must have been pregnant when I got her. These babies came on way too fast!
Oh well.......

 

MTS don't have to have Males or females they are hermaphrodites. Here is some information about these really cool snails.
