I have mopani wood in my tank, do I still need to another kind of wood for my BN pleco or will the mopani wood give him something to munch on?

Supposedly mopani wood is too hard but I can't attest to that. My piece of mopani is in a tank that's being cycled. Even though I have Malaysian driftwood in the 45g, I also give my BNs Repashi Morning Wood gel food, which they devour.

Mopani is a very hard wood, other woods such as manzanita, would be better for him
