Moor Black Fish

HI I'm Tila and I'm new here and a beginner in keeping fish so I don't really know much about them first hand. I got 2 moor fish a little bit more than a week ago and they were looking fine till yesterday. Today I noticed that their poop (tmI I know) is changed colour like off white and it can get quite long. The only thing that I did different I got a new big filter which is probably to big for my 18 l tank ( eheim 160. After reading a bit it looks like parasites but I'm not sure. Help me please as I already love them and don't want them to die.

Do you mean black more goldfish? If so you tank is small for them and I would make it bigger as the parasite I don’t know

The tank is much too small. It is probably stressing them out heavily, leading to that

White poo can be an indication of internal parasites. This is not the main problem though. 18 liters is about 4-5gals. I wouldn't keep a single black moor in anything less than a 20gal tank, or 80 liters. For two black moors I'd have at least a 29gal or about 120liters.

The fish you have now are babies, they will reach far larger and create much more waste than your tiny tank is capable of processing. I suggest you research the needs of the species you have as well as the Nitrogen Cycle to get a better understanding.

As for the white poo possibly being parasites, this could be the effects of being in poor water quality (I assume the tank was not cycled before adding the fish) and stress, which allows illnesses to take hold. Fix the water quality and stress factor and you will likely fix the white poo problem.

I am waiting for a 110 l tank to arrive very soon. They look active ( move a lot ) but look like are always looking for food. Do a complete change of water like 3 time a week and add Squad are from Tetraas instructed. Hope to set up the new tank properly

Get some dewormer or parasite meds into them. You will need to bump up how often you are doing water changes because goldfish are messy, while most black moores only get around 6-7 inches in length they need more space (around 40 gallons because they poop constantly as long as they have food - they will always be searching for food).
Water changes are going to be your best friend until you can get a large tank setup for them.

Thank you. I got a bigger tank already and I am cycling ( hope so) I do change the water 3 times a week. Is that enough till they move to their new house

You will need to get your parameter readings to tell if that is enough, with two goldfish in such a small tank it would be better to be changing the water every day to every other day, around 4-5 times a week just to stay on top of the ammonia they can produce. Prime will protect them but it can only do so much in a small tank where the waste can't be diffused as much.
