This morning my cat had one of her freak-outs to start the day. It was a particularly unnerving one though because it started with an angry growl before she tore into the room, claws scraping the carpet. She ended up on the far side of my bed and I turned my phone light on to look at her. She was crouched in the classic hunting posture and her tail was whipping back and forth while peering under the bed!
Part of me knew there was nothing there because as she's aged (she's about 15 now) she's begun seeing invisible mice (what we call them anyway) and it's kind of funny. This morning though it was clearly no mouse that she was imagining!
