Molly with possible ich

Today I noticed that Cecil, my molly, has some strange white bumps on her. It almost looks like ich, but she has no behavioral symptoms. Also, I have never had any fish in this tank with ich and I haven’t recently added anything new, so it’s a bit weird that it would’ve just popped up out of nowhere. Anyway, this was the best picture I could get as she’s a very hyper fish and the bumps blend into her coloration (bumps circled in blue):


I gave her a salt dip (that’s why she’s in a Tupperware container in the photo). Does this look like ich or something else? Should I continue with salt dips or just use ich medication on the whole tank? I raised her from a baby and she’s my mom’s favorite fish, so I really don’t want her to die. Any advice will be appreciated!

 

quarantine her with salt.
quarantine and salt is the solution to pretty much everything.
clean her tank as well

How often are wc? Add anything new?

 

I’ve just had ich, well my fish have lol and it doesn’t or didn’t look like that tbh. Esha is amazing stuff and Esha 2000 treats a lot of things like that. I’m just saying it might be worth having a look at it hope everything goes ok

Also think you would have seen it on her fins too possibly if it was ich? Just a suggestion?

 

I'm kinda thinking it's some sort of growth she's getting

 

AverageDewdrop I usually do water changes once a week/week and a half, and nothing new has been added to the tank for a while. What kind of growth? Like a tumor or something fungal?

Kevzebrapleco Yeah it’s not on her fins. That’s why I’m confused, it sort of looks like ich but it also doesn’t. I’ll check that out!

 

How’s your fish doing?

 

Physically she still has the bumps, and they look about the same. But behaviorally she’s doing great, just as happy and active as alway! I guess if she doesn’t seem bothered by it I’ll just monitor her and make sure she doesn’t get worse or start acting different.

 

Good news, the bumps all seem to be gone!
