Molly pregnant from a guppy?

Hello I have a female balloon Molly and a couple male guppies is a tank. I am seeing that the belly is becoming a bit larger. I have read that Molly and guppy are closely related and can breed. What are the chances that my Molly is actually pregnant from a guppy? I have had the Molly for over a month So don’t think is was pregnant before.

It is possible for them to cross, but this scenario is more likely. They can store sperm and get pregnant multiple times even after being removed from the male.

Ah yeah I forgot about that. Its just that my mom saw She was getting bigger. I don’t see it but a look at her every day So don’t notice the change. I Will keep looking and update if Its true.

But that happens faster if the just the opposite sex of both species are in there and best results when kept at 1:1. But even in that situation when she's still storing sperm packets from a male of her own species, those packets are most likely to be used first (but no quarantee of course).

My Molly indeed have birth. I don’t know to How many but was able to save 3 surprisingly 1 white 1 greyish and 1 black one. I’m guessing She stored the sperm for a loooong Time cause in the pet store they were already seperated and i have had her for about 3 months now. Thanks Everyone!!
