I have 13 mollies. 1 male and 12 females. (Not intentional)
Out of the magnificent 7, the one male(Peaches) and one of his sisters(Chocolate chip.) seem to be having a bad relationship with each other.

Over the last few days/weeks, Peaches has been chasing Chocolate chip whenever he sees her. It's not a mating thing (I don't think) because i've seen him mate with the others and he doesn't do that to them. Even other fish do it to only her.
I have come on here because she seems to be getting really down. She can't go in his sight because he'll chase her away and she just hides constantly.
I don't know if she's ill and that's why she's getting chased, like survival of the fittest or if they simply suddenly don't get on.
I just don't want her dying from harrassment.
Any help?

The best thing you could do is separate them, but harassement cannot kill fish, its the stress from the harassement that does.

Would a 20 gallon be okay for her?
It's got 4 platies 6 red phantoms and 6wcmms in it already

Its still kind of small for a molly with the current stocking. Also relocating the female might cause the male to harass another female.

Okay. The thing that is really bothering me is that he is really gentle with his favourite, Cookie and all of the others apart from Choc who gets chased by him and Polka dot
It's just so strange

The most common issue with agression is space, upgrade to a bigger tank or move the fish
