I recently bought 4 Molly Fish and just found out that atleast 2 of them are males and 1 is female and there is 1 that I can't tell. The one that I know is female had a bigger belly when I bought her so my roommate and I thought she was pregnant. Today we were looking at the fish and notice that both of the males keep swimming around her constantly and putting their mouths near her analfin. I don't know if she was pregnant before or how they even do it. But what I need to know if what they are doing and why do they keep bothering her? ???

All livebearers (Mollies, Guppies, etc) need to be kept in ratios of 1 male-2 females. If they are kept in a ratio of 1-1, the males will constantly chase and pester the females even to the point of making them sick. I would take one of the males back to the store.

I think you should put more females maybe 3 more so the male doesn't harrase the female!
