Hello everyone! I found your online forum searching for help regarding my female molly. She’s about a year old, had several babies in that time. Recently I noticed her rear end looking bulgy… she was having normal bowel movements and still having fry come out. I woke up a few days ago to her whole rear end blown out and red. Looked like someone bit her rear end off and two holes are now one hole. Water parameters are all normal, we don’t have any mean bitey fish in the tank either. She’s one of the largest I have also. I thought for sure she was going to die but the hole seems to be healing, and she’s still pooping and squeezing a fry out of there here and there. She’s eating and swimming acting normally. The hole is still as large as before but no longer red. Anyone have any suggestions? I did add some salt and some Paraguard just as a preventive measure. Can this actually heal?
