Mollies Or Platys?

I can't decide if I want platties or mollies, I would really appreciate any opinions/advice anyone has between the two types of fish. But first this is what I have so far: 29 gallon tank
1 albino bristlenose pleco
2 Dalmatian mollies
3 platties
5 neon tetras
I got the tetras because I wanted something different, I've always has mollies or platties and wanted something new but now am not so sure if I really want to change it up or just stick with the mollies/platties just different colors. Which one do you like best mollies or platties?

I have a very uninformed opinion since I have only had mollies and not platys but I love my mollies. They have a ton of personality.

Did you ever had a problem with them fighting?

My 2 silver mollies had one big fight that went on for maybe 10 minutes but they haven't fought since. I have a male black molly and 1 female black and 2 female silvers.

From what I've read, I lucked out and this is the best ratio of male to female. I, also, read that mollies of the same gender do best in groups of 3 or more because they are hierarchical so there has to be an alpha. If there are only 2 then the alpha has only 1 fish to pick on but if there are 3 then the alpha can split up the time it needs to feel big and bad between the 2 fish so each one gets a breather.

I'm a newbie so I don't have amy experience except with 1 male and 3 females. Mine might not fight because I have 3 or because my tank is medium planted or their personalities might work really well.

My only issue with them is getting algae wafers down to my pleco before the mollies eat them and luring them to 1 side of the tank during meal time so I can feed my betta on the other. It gives her a chance to actually eat before the horse of mollies stampedes over her to get at the food.

I prefer platies. They stay smaller so you can have more of them, they come in a wider variety of colours and brighter colours and they are more peaceful IMO

I prefer mollies (especially sailfins if you have a big enough tank) but platies are probably hardier.
