Mixing Tiger Shrimp and Blue Bolt Bee Shrimp

Hello,

I'd like to mix two species of shrimp in one tank so that there's a difference in colour but I don't want them to interbreed. I like the look of Tiger Shrimp and Blue Bolt Bee Shrimp but am not totally sure that they can't interbreed. Does anyone know if this is the case? If they can breed, then can anyone advise on which shimp species it would be safe to mix and would offer vibrant colour contrasts.

I'm not familiar with Tiger Shrimp, and Google only seemed to turn up giant shrimp for eating, so I'm assuming that's not what you're referring to. However, it's my understanding that different color variations within species will readily breed and produce offspring, but different species won't. So assuming that's correct, if the Tiger Shrimp you're referring to are caridina shrimp, like the Blue Bolts, then your plan won't work. If they're a different species it will.
