Mixing Levamisole and SeaChem Kanaplex?

Having had some diseases sneak through my qt tank and infect all my tanks, I've decided to take the extra precaution of medicating all my fish before I add them to my tanks. So far Levamisole and SeaChem Kanaplex have been very useful saving my fish's lives, so that's what I decided to use. The question is, can I use Kanaplex and Levamisole at the same time, or should I treat with one, remove it, and then treat with the other?

I know some people say to make Kanaplex flake mix, but I just added it to my water and the disease just vanished last time, so I don't think I'm going to bother. My question is will the Kanaplex and the Levamisole react with each other?

I don't think they would.
The medicated food mix is a lot cheaper than dumping a load of kanamycin in to your tank everytime, and it is likely to be even more effective.

I wouldn't treat with an antibiotic unless there was an actual bacterial infection. You can eliminate worms but not bacteria so different strategies are needed.

I would not mix the two meds .
Both are harsh and can have a damaging effect on a fishes internal organs .
In combination they may be too much for some fish to tolerate .
Levamisole [used properly] is one dose let to expose the fish for 3 days and then a second dose 3 weeks later .
Kanna is a every other day treatment for 3 doses that should not be repeated so I would think it could fit in between the first and second levamisole dose .
That being said I don't treat fish without clear symptoms calling for the specific treatment .
You should look into potassium permanganate ..It is a proper proactive type product IMO and used properly has no ill effects on even healthy fish .

What diseases have you identified?

I've had worms, and one that makes cories drop dead with no other symptoms.

Levamisole is the way to treat some worms. You need to identify the worm and pick the treatment that matches it. What do the worms look like?

The worms I treated before were callumnarus and I don't want them coming back that's why I'm treating all my new fish with Levamisole.

EDIT: I meant camallanus not callumnarus.

Do you mean camallanus? Columnaris is a bacterial infection. Levamisole is the correct treatment for camallanus. Do your fish show symptoms, red threadlike worms extending from the anus?

Do you know how the worm was introduced and did you succeed in getting the infestation out?

Guppies. It was my first time with guppies and I didn't know that they always have worms. Yes I got rid of the worms. And I got rid or the other disease wich I have no clue how it got in. I currently have no sick fish, and I am taking extra precautions to keep it that way.
