Misty is on her way!

Well another adoption announcement is in order! This time for a little GIRL. She is a female betta, 2 mos old, white with cellophane fins (short ones yet). She will be at present smaller than the otos so she will live for a little while in the plant tank, which by the time I took it apart and remodeled, I was able to stretch to a 3 gallon. This won't be permanent but for now she is so tiny she would get lost in a 5 so it will work for a bit. I am sorry I have no pictures, but since she is in Texas and I am in Nebraska my telephoto won't go that far. Yes, I broke and went with another dealer this time. I have always wanted a white with cellophane fins and I DO NOT know what made me go to eBay the other day, but I did and there she was. Nobody else bid on her so I guess I must have been there for a reason.
Now my only concern is getting her through Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and into Nebraska during the worst ice and snow storm of the season. I am having them put heat packs in the carton, but there is still danger so I will be on pins and needles until the box arrives and I open it up to a healthy, happy little fish.
I promise fish pictures as soon as she is settled. Wish us both luck as far as the shipment goes and her comfort in transit.

I have been asked that a couple of times already. I don't think so. I really do not have the room to do it justice and I have 2 males, one of whom is already starting to get too old to breed and the other is probably going to be pushing it by the time the little lady is ready. My space is going to be pushed past its limits by taking this little angel in and I wouldn't know what I would possibly be able to do with a hatching of fry : .

I think she will have to grow up just to be a beautiful fish, unless I get to the place I just cannot stand NOT to breed her, then the father will probably have to be Marty. I have not even seen anything but a photo yet. She may charm me into it, but she has to grow up a bit yet no matter what.

Awww, I think you should breed her with Marty, though what to do with the fry is a problem. I bet a few people on here (me included ) would be willing to take one, or two...
I'm dying to get a betta!!!!!!

 

Let me get her here and show you all some pictures. Then she has to get bigger LOL. She is going to be smaller than the otos. Marty would eat her alive! Then we will see!
