My 2 largest shrimp, the Crystal Red Shrimp have gone missing. Checked the filter, not there.
I do have 20 other shrimps but the 2 largest are the only ones missing.
Could they have crawled out of the tank? I can't see behind it because it's right up against the wall.

It is very possible for shrimp to crawl out of their tank.

Just yesterday I brought home 4 amano shrimp and added them to my planted tanks. A while later while I was researching my new pets I saw some movement out of the corner of my eye. Nearly had a heart attack upon discovering it was one of the shrimp crawling across my carpet a good 6 or so feet from the tank. The tank has a glass cover but it seems to of escaped out the opening for the filter and heater cord.

That's why I have this ugly but effective plastic canvas covering the extra space around my cut outs.

Had an amano go for a stroll and die.
